Eventica Sport was proud to coordinate the Sovetsky Sport panel session at the 5th annual Russia-China Tourism Forum 2017 on 10 March. The session focused on sports tourism, throwing the spotlight on the rise of this market segment, and highlighting the key opportunities in the sports tourism calendar from 2017 through to 2022. Igor Stolyarov, deputy CEO of Sovetsky Sport publishing house, who moderated the panel session, outlined Sovetsky Sport’s and Eventica’s future plans in the sphere of sports tourism and destination marketing through major sports events.
Central to these plans is the Russian-Chinese Sports Partnership Forum – an initiative of Eventica Sport. Taking place in Beijing on 11-12 May during the Russian President Vladimir Putin’s official visit to China, this event will offer a platform for discussion of how to maximize effective business partnerships with sport.
Igor Stolyarov said: “In view of the global sports events to be held in Russia and China in the next 5 years, the perspectives of a flourishing sports tourism sector between both countries are great. See you in Beijing!”
One of the special focuses of the tourism forum was the promotion of the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 and FIFA 2018 World Cup.
Shankai Sports International Vice-President Larry Zheng, who was also speaking at the event, said: “Firstly, it is good to see how motivated Russian companies are to develop relations in the sports and tourism industry. Secondly, I’m sure that we have all the necessary ingredients to make this development successful!”
