From 14 June to 15 July 2018, during the FIFA World Cup in 2018, China House will be the go-to Chinese hospitality hub in the football heart of Moscow. Organised by sports specialists Eventica in collaboration with Beijing-based Shankai Sports, China House will be situated in a prime location – and one of Moscow’s major landmarks – VDNH park – one of the largest general purpose exhibition areas and recreation parks in the world.
Eventica CEO Sergei Kolushev said: “China House will boost ties between the nations of Russia and China and will become one of the main projects for the development of bilateral exchange in sports between the two countries”. Shankai Sports vice-president Larry Zheng commented that China House will provide the perfect platform to showcase the warmth of the Sino-Russian friendship, whilst at the same time promoting China to a massive international audience.
The project was announced at Eventica’s specially customised river cruiser on the Moscow River Footboat during the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. The China House concept was also presented by the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development at the meeting of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on 4 July in the Russian capital.
